DynastySZN Constitution
- DynastySZN (hereafter, "league," or "the league") was established in 2010 by lifelong, eternal commissioner Chris Becker
- Membership
- The league shall not exceed 10 teams;
- Each team must have one owner, and may choose to have a co-owner;
- All co-owners need the direct approval of the league commissioner;
- Voting Rights
- Each team is entitled to one vote, regardless of the number of owners on a team;
- The league is powered by Sleeper
- Any changes to the hosting of the league must be approved by 7 of the 10 teams within the league;
- Draft
- All rookie drafts will be 3 rounds;
- Each team is given 3 draft picks per year for rookie drafts;
- These draft picks may be traded;
- Rosters
- Rosters shall not exceed 25 players;
- At any given moment, teams must have the following minimums on their roster;
- 1 Quarterback;
- 2 Running Backs;
- 2 Wide Receivers;
- 1 Tight End;
- 1 Defense/Special Teams;
- 1 Kicker;
- Trades
- The commissioner retains exclusive rights to veto any deal;
- The trade deadline is Week 11 of the current NFL season;
- The trade embargo lifts after the completion of the Dead Period;
- Good Faith Trading
- Good faith trading is defined as meeting the following conditions;
- Teams respond to all offers in a timely fashion;
- Teams do not publicly disparage offers;
- Bad Faith Trading
- Bad faith trading is defined as meeting any of the following conditions;
- Teams failing to respond to trade offers in a timely manner;
- Teams publicly disparaging offers;
- Teams tampering with on-going negotiations between two other teams;
- Free Agency
- Teams are given $500 in FAAB during each regular season;
- Teams are given $500 in FAAB during each off-season;
- In the event of a FAAB bid tie, the player will go to the owner that is higher on the Waiver Wire order;
- The Waiver Wire order is set based on the reverse order of the start up draft;
- Roster Churning
- Roster churning is strictly forbidden;
- Roster churning consists of picking up players, only to drop them in order to specifically prevent other teams from being able to pick them up;
- A violation of this rule is considered an Act of Bad Faith;
- Off-Season
- The off-season is defined as the time after the Dead Period and before the Draft;
- Scoring
- Scoring is defined in Sleeper;
- Any changes to scoring require a league vote, and must be approved by a simple majority of teams;
- Appeals
- All appeals must be made within 72 hours of the inital decision;
- Appeals must be sent via email to the commissioner;
- Once received, appeals will be heard within 72 hours, at which time, a decision will be rendered;
- The following events are eligible for appeal;
- Trade approvals;
- Trade vetoes;
- IR eligibility;
- Scoring;
- Waiver results;
- Insubordination
- Owners are not permitted to speak negatively of the league on any public-facing platform;
- This would include any known, unknown, or yet to be founded social media networks;
- Owners will not frequently challenge the rulings of the commissioner without following the appeals process;
- Owners will not make any public-facing rule interpretations;
- Rule inquiries are always permitted;
- Termination of Team Ownership
- Owners may be removed from the league by the decision of the commissioner;
- Team ownership, or co-ownership, may be terminated for any of the following reasons;
- Acts of physical violence against members of the league or their affiliates;
- Disruption of league activity;
- Cheating;
- Any form of collusion;
- Any other action not specifically defined herein, but brings an otherwise negative impact to the league;
- Assumed Knowledge
- A lack of knowledge of specific rules does not constitute an exception to the rules, and may not be asserted as a defense;
- Dead Period
- No league activity, with the exception of dropping players, will occur from the end of the NFL Super Bowl until the first day of the NFL Draft;
- Players are not eligible for the IR during the Dead Period;
